The Albin - though being re-powered and technically very well equipped - came in quite untended condition. Almost for two years she had been on land, obviously left by the owner with the plan to return soon to clean her, which, however, never happened, as he became ill. And apart from that, the - well, let us say - "style" of the previous owner was peculiar: Many, many plastic flowers in kitsch vases, stain and dirt of 2 years waiting for a cleaning, interesting (to say the least) electric installation of radios, CD-player, 230 Volt equipment ...

Anyway, opening the lockers made us find treasures: A brand new Bombard AX dingy with a 3.3hp Mariner outboard, a practical new Raymarine autopilot, a VHF radio, solar panels with the necessary electronics.

• The hull number apparently is 1178 (says the plate, but the former owner told us that he had transferred the name plate – saying “ALBIN 25” – from another old Albin. Maybe he also transferred the HID-plate from that old Albin, as on the back of all floor panels we found the handwritten number “1400”, which made us assume that Dido’s HID is possibly 1400).
